Exterior Detailing

A professional detail begins at the vehicle's exterior.

1) The detail begins with the application of 3M TM Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner to the wheels and 3M TM All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser to the wheels, tires, doorjambs, bumpers, grilles, and other heavily soiled areas. We then scrub these areas with a bristled brush.

2) The next step is to examine the paint and to establish a game plan for how we will polish and buff the paint to really make the finish look as new as possible.

We remove any road tar and bugs that are stuck to the finish with 3M TM Adhesive and Tar Remover and a soft terry cloth towel. We apply 3M TM All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser to any bug spatters and scrub with a bug sponge.

3) We then clay the vehicle as needed with 3M TM Perfect-It TM III Cleaner Clay, using the diluted 3M TM Car Wash Soap as a lubricant.

4) The car then gets a complete and thorough wash using 3M TM Car Wash Soap and is dried with a chamois. Any tree sap is removed from the exterior glass with 3M TM Glass Cleaner.

5) Our professional detailers use different types of foam pads and polishes with a power buffer to remove scratches, scuffs and other small imperfections from the paint. The detailer decides what products and tools to use based on the condition of the paint.

? If the scratches are deep, 3M TM Detail Compound and 3M TM Super Buff III are used

? Car Wash and similar scratches, and oxidation is removed using 3M TM Detail Polish and 3M TM Superbuff Polishing Pad

? Fine scratches and light oxidation and swirls are removed using 3M TM Detail Polish and 3M TM Perfect-It Foam Polishing Pad

6) Once the car is polished and all the swirl marks are removed, a coat of quality wax is applied by hand to protect the paint. 3M TM Detail Wax, or 3M TM Perfect-It Show Car Paste Wax is applied and left to dry, the wax residue is then wiped with a 3M TM Perfect-It Detailing Cloth.

7) The final step is to apply a uniform coating of 3M TM Tire Dressing to the tires using a sprayer or application pad.

Interior Detailing + Engine

1) To clean the engine, a spray is used to evenly coat the engine compartment with 3M TM All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser. The solution is sprayed at 3 different angles to ensure all areas are covered and is left to dry. The residue is then sprayed off with water.

2) A vehicle's interior detailing begins with a thorough vacuuming to remove all loose dirt and to prepare the car for the interior detail.

3) Heavily soiled or stained areas are pre-spotted with using 3M TM All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser brushed lightly and left to soak.

4) The interior vinyl, plastic and other hard surfaces are cleaned using 3M TM All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser and then dried. A brush and air nozzle is used to clean the air vents, and to get between the seat and other tight areas.

5) Once the interior has been soaked with 3M TM All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser, detailers go back through the interior with an air nozzle and a boar's hair brush to knock loose any dirt particles loosened by shampooing. Then the interior is re-vacuumed, again using the boar's hair brush. The brush and vacuum clean as much as possible without a lot of moisture.

6) The carpet and upholstery are thoroughly cleaned using an extraction machine with 3M TM Extraction Cleaner.

7) Last, the vehicles glasses are cleaned using 3M TM Glass Cleaner, and the finishing interior touches are achieved by applying 3M TM Interior Dressing to obtain a uniform wet appearance. Last, the vehicles glasses are cleaned using 3M TM Glass Cleaner.
